Senior Manager
Trey Stephens is a Senior Manager in Bennett Thrasher’s M&A Transaction Advisory practice. He assists financial sponsors, corporate strategic acquirers and other investors with buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services related to merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions. In addition, Trey assists clients with equity recapitalization and debt refinancing efforts. His primary focus areas include evaluating the quality of earnings, net working capital and debt/debt-like items in addition to identifying other key transaction issues.
Prior to joining the M&A Transaction Advisory practice, Trey worked in the Financial Reporting & Assurance practice at Bennett Thrasher, where he provided audit, review and other assurance services to privately-held clients within the middle-market. He focused on serving clients in the manufacturing, distribution, beverage wholesale, restaurant and franchise industries. Trey also has significant experience working with Bennett Thrasher’s Dispute Resolution & Forensics practice to conduct regulatory compliance reviews for healthcare entities. Trey began his career as a Tax Associate for a top 25 firm, where he assisted clients with the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and estate tax returns of various complexities.
Trey is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Georgia.
