This award honors individuals who are positively shaping the accounting and tax profession, showcasing those who are active in both professional leadership roles as well as in their local communities.

Cory is a partner in the firm’s Financial Reporting and Assurance Department, and leads the Restaurant & Franchise practice. On behalf of his clients, Cory has assisted management at more than 40 private middle-market companies from the Southeast with annual financial reporting and compliance needs, and has performed financial due diligence on a number of transactions annually valued at more than $50 million.
Cory is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA), where he serves as the accounting resource for GRA members who represent 4,000 Georgia restaurants.
He also serves on the Accounting Advisory Committee at Kennesaw State University (KSU), working with faculty and business leaders to explore the current issues facing accounting schools and graduates.
Additionally, Cory is a board member for the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency (ACSS), the largest provider of workforce development resources to homeless individuals in Atlanta, and has had the privilege of helping those in the area obtain full-time employment.
Cory received both his undergraduate degree and his master of accountancy from the University of Georgia.
