Bennett Thrasher Continues to Rise on Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms List

In the 2018 edition of Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms, Bennett Thrasher is recognized for several noteworthy accomplishments. The firm is named as a Pacesetter in growth, and also for being ranked the 84th largest firm in the country, moving up four spots from 2017. Bennett Thrasher is also recognized for being one of the top accounting firms in the Southeast.

The article also highlights the firm’s SALT practice and Stephen Bradshaw, Senior Manager, provides insight on how the Supreme Court’s 1992 decision in Quill Corp. v. North Dakota confused many clients with the physical presence test for sales and use tax nexus. “Clients are reaching out to us, because they get a notice from the state,” he said. “They want to get their books cleaned up, and they want to potentially sell the company, and don’t want a big sales tax liability hanging over their head.”
