In a recent article published in Backpacker, Bennett Thrasher was featured for its ongoing summer hikes through the Appalachian Trail to promote employee-wellness and for the charitable aspect as well, with proceeds benefiting GiGi’s Playhouse. The article says, “Bennett Thrasher has organized a series of hikes for employees this summer that will cover the entire 79 miles of Georgia’s portion of the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain to the North Carolina border.”
The proceeds from the challenge will go to GiGi’s Playhouse, a non-profit that provides programming to empower individuals with Down Syndrome. Brittany Cyganiewicz, a senior audit manager at Bennett Thrasher, helped to choose GiGi’s Playhouse because she has a daughter, Sutton, with Down Syndrome. For the full article, please click here.
